Governance, Committees, and Compliance Manager

This is a senior support post of essential importance to allow the Dean, Chief Operating Officer, Chapter and committees to develop and maintain an effective system of governance for the Cathedral with adherence to the highest standards of good governance practice.

Salary/Stipend: £29,500 (£36,875 pro-rata)
Working Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Choral Scholar (3 positions available)

Southwark Cathedral is looking to appoint three talented and enthusiastic musicians at the start of their musical careers for this year-long scholarship, which provides a wonderful opportunity to gain experience singing in a busy Cathedral Choir, the flagship ensemble of our choral foundation. 

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with checks against the child-barring lists.

Closing Date: 16/06/2026
Salary/Stipend: Scholarship of £5,000
Working Hours: 8 hours per week – over 4 days each week

Organ Scholar

Southwark Cathedral is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic musician at the start of their musical career for this year-long scholarship, which provides a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of a busy Cathedral music department.

Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week – over 4 days each week

Engagement Coordinator

As Engagement Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of an audience led, public programme of talks, tours and exhibitions at the Cathedral, as well as working with us to plan and deliver a great visitor experience

Working Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
