Practical help to friends in Zimbabwe

For the last decade Southwark Cathedral Shop has been selling artwork created by artists in the cooperative ArtPeace which is based in Harare

The artists work with a variety of hard stones such as verdite and fruit springstone producing carvings which are beautiful and tactile, animals, people, religious objects, all inspired by their lives.  As the shop reopened and congregation numbers increased as well as visitors returning, sales have meant that we have been able to send some money to our friends.  They are also supported by a congregation at the United Refromed church in Walton on Thames and this video message is addressed to us all, and to you if you have purchased a beautiful piece of art.

If you would like to give practical and much needed support come along to the Southwark Cathedral Shop and ask to be shown the Zimbabwean carvings.
